Doc. PhDr. Pavel Sládek, Ph.D. vyučuje od roku 2007 na oboru hebraistika. Ve své disertaci se zabýval klasickou rabínskou literaturou. Nakladatelství Academia vydalo jeho rozsáhlou monografii o pražském Maharalovi (2020). V roce 2013 absolvoval semestrální stáž na Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Jewish Studies při University of Pennsylvania, v roce 2016 získal Katherine F. Pantzer Jr. Fellowship in Descriptive Bibliography v Houghton Library, Harvard University, v roce 2023 stipendium Oxford Bibliographical Society, v roce 2024 stipendium European Society for Jewish Studies.
