The Department of Middle Eastern Studies (Faculty of Art, Charles University) is currently accepting research proposals from PhD applicants for the academic year 2021/2022. The Middle Eastern Studies Programme is organised together with the Oriental Institute (The Czech Academy of Sciences). We welcome historical, philological and interdisciplinary projects, especially focusing on modern and contemporary issues of the Middle East, but also on older history. We offer support and grants for PhD candidates, internationally-run programme and opportunities for research and study in the region.
