In late September our department will host a block course “History of Jews in Eastern Europe” taught by Dr. Alex Valdman (dr. Alex Valdman) from Tel Aviv University, an expert on the history of Jews in Russia and Eastern Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries. The lectures of the course will focus on the issue of the social history of Jews in Eastern Europe in modern times.

The course takes place in cooperation of the Prague Center for Jewish Studies and the Department of the Middle Eastern Studies with the Israeli Nevzlin Center for Russian and East European Jewry.
