Petr Felčer studied Translation and Arabic studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. He completed one-year study stays at Kuwait University and at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (INALCO) in Paris. He focuses on language teaching, translation from Arabic and French, and occasionally also edits translated texts. He organizes the annual Crescent above Prague literary festival. At the Department of the Middle Eastern Studies, he teaches Standard Arabic, Levantine Arabic and translation.
