Mgr. Pavel Kocman, a researcher at the Prague Centre for Jewish Studies, teaches the medieval history of Jews in the Czech lands and in the early modern period. Since 1999, he participates in a project Bohemia, Moravia et Silesia Judaica led by the Society for History of Jews in the Czech Republic. In 2013-2018, he worked as a specialist at the Department of Jewish History and Jewish Studies at Prague Jewish Museum. He cooperates with the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno (The Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies), and Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc (The Kurt and Ursula Schubert Center for Jewish Studies). Among other things, he teaches a seminar on Modern Jewish History at DMES – Archival Sources for the Study of Jewish History in Czech Lands.
