Next week, the Department of Middle Eastern Studies will welcome Professor Gülsemin Hazer. Professor Hazer is the head of the Department of Turkish Language at Sakarya University. Her academic and pedagogical focus is primarily on 20th-century Turkish literature and the literary analysis of works by modern Turkish authors.

As part of her visit, she will deliver a lecture titled “From Safahat to the Turkish National Anthem: Mehmet Âkif’s Understanding of Art,” which will take place:
